| Who'd have thought that college would be even better than I expected? I can't believe I'm finally here and having so much fun!
I'm in three classes. Not because I'm lazy, but because Augie works on trimesters. So, I'm definitely busy. My liberal studies course is absolutely amazing. The curriculum is built so masterfully and everything is so wonderfully streamlined that I now feel like I wasted four years of my life in high school. Poor dysfunctional high school. My french class is fun, but very hard. Made even more difficult by te fact that I forgot my french references at home. Yikes. I'll live though. Music theory should be fun. We have a reading/listening assignment that I'm actually sort of looking forward to. I have orchestra tonight too! Yippee!!!! I haven't been in rehearsals since May! And if you read these with any regularity you know that I love orchestra rehearsals! I think we're playing Mozart 'Prague' tonight. That'll be fun to start.
I'm meeting gads of fun new people. Kate and the other one, Matt and Tom and Karin (whom I adore with every fiber of my being), Eddie and Maggie, and so many other great people. I feel like I've made the best decision possible in choosing to study here. The education is top-hole, the people are great, the music program is very good. What could be better in life?

...is a pinnacle of cinematic perfection.
And his movies are being showcased all day on TCM. I'm skipping Gunga Din (i'm not a real war-movie watcher (except for Operation Petticoat!)) But Arsenic and Old Lace is on in a few minutes and I daren't miss a second! What a good movie. Then it's North by Northwest and Suspicion, two of my favorite Hitchcock films. Yippee!! Have a splendid evening all.

| Allison got kicked off of PR III last night!! Oh man, the judges made a huge mistake there. And Vincent's dress looked like ass! The model couldn't even walk in it. What a disgrace.
I have to get cleaned up and go practice. Sally Hart doesn't seem overly enthused about the progress I'm making on the Buxtehude. I was supposed to have it finished yesterday and it definitely wasn't. And I have to brush up my Barber for the honors concert in October. I made some heady progress with the Debussy prelude yesterday. It's called "Ondine" which is a name I'm assuming. I'll have to research the history behind that. Anyway, must be off. Toodle pip and all that.

| I want to go to college. Really really badly. But I have to wait for...21 days. (sad face) I'm going to have some fun this year. That is, I'm going to have fun with the 5 seconds of time that I'll have to myself. I'm going to be a busy little beaver. This fall especially. I'm in the mood for some movie watching. I'm going to Movi Gallery sooner than later and I'm staying up all night watching movies. Hopefully some new ones. A good Hitchcock wouldn't be entirely unwarranted. Or something foreign. Ingmar Bergman would be fun to watch tonight. We'll see. Chat later.

| I hate to sound like the hoplessly out-of-touch American who desires only that which he cannot have, but I really think I'd enjoy Europe tremendously. I want to live there. Really. Not just visit. I want to go to London and stay. Or Paris, or Brussels, or Geneva, or Rome. I don't particularly care. Being there means that all of this wonderful culture and lifestyle and spirit is at your fingertips. Or, at least a quick journey par le train. Maybe I've just seen Amelie way too many times, which is entirely possible.
I'm waiting for Jennie to call me. I want to go see "Who Killed the Electric Car" tonight. If I do I'll let you all know how it was. See you all.
